Mitchell and his wife Anna have a young son Harry and a daughter Adele. Both love the beach and going fishing when they've been good.
Mitchell oversees Coates audit and assurances engagements while having a focus on commercial clients and taxation compliance. Graduating from Otago university in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy and Finance majors), Mitchell was admitted as a practicing member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ) in 2011.
